Carthage Main Street Star Awards
What a special night at the Panola County Chamber of Commerce Banquet celebrating some very special people in our Main Street family! ✨
At last night’s banquet, we had the honor of presenting our Main Street Shining Star Award to Penny Wright — and there truly isn’t a more fitting name for it.
Penny is a dedicated board member, a volunteer extraordinaire, an enthusiastic member of the Esquire Players, and someone I am personally lucky enough to call a friend. In her short time in Carthage, she has become absolutely invaluable — always helpful, always smiling, and always ready to jump in and do whatever needs to be done. She represents the very best of Main Street: servant-hearted, positive, and committed to making our community better. We are so grateful for you, Penny! 💛
We also proudly presented our Rising Star Awards to Kenzie Coleman and Caroline Cooke. These outstanding young women serve on the Carthage Main Street Youth Advisory Council and as interns for the City of Carthage. They are leaders, hard workers, and incredible representatives of their generation. Their dedication, creativity, and heart for our community prove that the future of Carthage is bright.
Kenzie and Caroline, we are so proud of you and excited to see all the amazing things you will accomplish. 🌟
Carthage Main Street is blessed with volunteers and young leaders like these — and last night was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. ❤️
